JOB DESCRIPTION: AFTER-SALES SERVICE MANAGER
Position: Head of After-Sales Service
Location: Unicompex, Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)
Type of contract : OPEN-ENDED CONTRACT
Sector of activity : Diesel generator sets and energy solutions
Main tasks:
- After-sales service management :
- Supervising and coordinating all after-sales service activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Plan and organise the work of technicians according to priorities and availability.
- Implement intervention procedures to ensure effective resolution of technical problems.
- Technical support and incident resolution :
- Ensuring accurate fault diagnosis and proposing appropriate technical solutions.
- Provide technical support to customers and field technicians.
- Ensuring that customer complaints are properly managed and rigorously followed up.
- Continuous improvement and service quality:
- Analysing after-sales service data to identify areas for improvement.
- Set up performance indicators and ensure regular reporting to management.
- Train and support our teams to guarantee the highest possible level of competence.
- Spare parts and stock management :
- Supervising the management of spare parts stocks in collaboration with the logistics department.
- Ensuring the availability of critical parts to meet customer needs as quickly as possible.
- Customer relations and loyalty :
- Maintaining a relationship of trust with customers by providing a quality service.
- Gather customer feedback and suggest improvements to boost satisfaction and loyalty.
- Carrying out customer visits to ensure that the solutions provided are being used correctly.
Profile required:
- Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or industrial management.
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar position, preferably in the field of generators or energy equipment.
- Team management and customer relationship management skills.
- Good command of IT tools (ERP, CRM, MS Office).
- Analytical skills, responsiveness and a sense of service.
- Mastery of French knowledge of English is an asset.

- Implement intervention procedures to ensure efficient resolution of technical issues.
Technical Support and Incident Resolution:
- Ensure accurate diagnosis of failures and propose suitable technical solutions.
- Provide technical support to customers and field technicians.
- Ensure proper handling of customer complaints and maintain rigorous follow-up.
Continuous Improvement and Service Quality:
- Analyse after-sales service data to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement performance indicators and provide regular reporting to management.
- Train and support teams to ensure optimal skill levels.
Spare Parts and Stock Management:
- Supervise spare parts stock management in collaboration with the logistics department.
- Ensure the availability of critical parts to meet customer needs promptly.
Customer Relations and Retention:
- Maintain trust-based relationships with customers by ensuring high-quality service.
- Collect customer feedback and propose improvements to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Conduct customer visits to ensure proper usage of provided solutions.
Desired Profile:
- Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial management.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the generator or energy equipment industry.
- Strong team management and customer relationship skills.
- Proficiency in IT tools (ERP, CRM, MS Office).
- Analytical skills, responsiveness, and service-oriented mindset.
- Fluency in French is essential; English proficiency is an advantage.
